ROTC Scholarship Interview Preparation Coaching

Lieutenant Colonel Robert Kirkland

Founder, ROTC Consulting

As a former Professor of Military Science at two ROTC units, I have overseen the selection of scholarships for hundreds of candidates. My team understands exactly what ROTC panels are looking for, and we can help your student successfully tell their story of service and leadership.

The progress we make with your child is simply unbelievable. We look forward to working together!

Frequently Asked Questions

When should we start working with your team?

We begin working with students one month out from their first interview date - which is usually summer or fall of their Senior year of high school. However, you can purchase this service and plan out future interview coaching anytime from junior year onward.

What all is included in this service?

One month of intensive hour-long interview coaching sessions prior to your student's first event. We work with your student as many times as necessary to get their performance up to par, however most students need 3-4 initial sessions.

What does my student need to do to be successful in the interview?

While we help your child prepare, your child must commit to additional preparation outside of our sessions. After each session, we provide guidance on what to practice and research in-between sessions. In order to get the most from our coaching, this additional practice is necessary.

How important is the interview to my child's success?

The interview process is extremely important for your child's success, as the interview makes up anywhere from 20-40% of the panel score awarding scholarships.

Who will my student be working with?

Your student will either be prepping with LTC Robert Kirkland or Colonel Lee Reynolds
